Terms of Service

Last Updated: June 27, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using PharmaTransparency.com, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Informational Purpose Only

PharmaTransparency aggregators compile information directly from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Open Payments API.

All profile listings, consulting payouts, research funding levels, and data columns are served strictly for informational, transparency, and research purposes. We are not a medical advisory service. The presence of a financial payment profile does not indicate medical bias, poor care quality, or professional misconduct. Always consult your medical team directly regarding treatment options.

3. Permitted and Prohibited Use

You are granted a limited license to search, view, and analyze listings for personal, journalistic, educational, or compliance-audit purposes.

Prohibited Actions: You may not scrape, harvest, or download records in bulk via automated bots, scripts, or spiders in a manner that strains our real-time API integrations or bypasses server security filters. Abuse of search endpoints may result in permanent IP blacklisting.

4. Limitation of Liability & Data Accuracy

We compile third-party public data as-is. We do not verify, modify, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of data reported by pharmaceutical manufacturers to CMS.

PharmaTransparency is not liable for errors, omissions, or outdated cache listings. If a provider's reporting contains errors, disputes must be filed directly with the CMS Open Payments team.

5. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to alter, pause, or decommission any search indexes, portals, or database caching integrations at our sole discretion, without notice.
